{"id":6504,"date":"2025-12-09T15:51:43","date_gmt":"2025-12-09T11:51:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jbsacademy.ge\/?p=6504"},"modified":"2025-12-11T10:45:45","modified_gmt":"2025-12-11T06:45:45","slug":"nba-basketball-school-debuts-in-georgia-with-youth-camp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jbsacademy.ge\/en\/nba-basketball-school-debuts-in-georgia-with-youth-camp\/","title":{"rendered":"NBA Basketball School Debuts in Georgia with Youth Camp"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The NBA, in partnership with JBS Basketball, has announced the opening of Georgia\u2019s first official NBA Basketball School in Tbilisi.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The initiative will kick off with a youth camp for players aged 6-18 from September 10-14, ahead of the full programme starting on September 29,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/1tv.ge\/lang\/en\/news\/nba-basketball-school-launches-in-georgia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Caspian Post<\/a>&nbsp;reports, citing&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/1tv.ge\/lang\/en\/news\/nba-basketball-school-launches-in-georgia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Georgian media<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Participants will receive training in skills development, play competitive matches including 5\u00d75 games, and take part in life skills sessions. Registration is now open at&nbsp;<a class=\"\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nbabasketballschool.ge\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.nbabasketballschool.ge<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis is an opportunity for every child to dream big and train like a pro,\u201d Levan Akhvlediani, founder of JBS Academy, said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis reflects Georgia\u2019s rich basketball culture, and we aim to support young players\u2019 development and values,\u201d NBA Europe Senior Director Henry Utkum added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Developed by the NBA\u2019s International Basketball Operations, the curriculum combines insights from NBA coaches, players, and specialists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 2017, NBA Basketball Schools have opened in Argentina, Australia, Brazil, China, the Dominican Republic, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, India, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Lithuania, Mexico, Morocco, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Spain, Switzerland, the United Arab Emirates and Uruguay.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The NBA, in partnership with JBS Basketball, has announced the opening of Georgia\u2019s first official NBA Basketball School in Tbilisi.
